Thursday Cafe

We partner with All Saints Episcopal Church in Worcester to provide indoor space for rest, hot food, and community on Thursday afternoons from 12:30-2:00 pm. (Sept-May)

Thursday Cafe provides a place where all feel welcome and where the dignity and welfare of all guests are affirmed.

Pastor Zach Kerzee

What is Thursday Cafe?

We’ve celebrated with folks when they’ve been housed. We’ve celebrated periods of clean or sober time, anniversaries of freedom from violence and incarceration, successful treatments and surgeries, reunions with children, and the prospects and realities of finding a job that provides hope for moving from homelessness permanently. Along with providing safe respite and spiritual companionship, the Cafe space allows us to provide a hot meal, sandwiches, new socks, new underwear, and toiletry items for our guests.

Please note that during the Covid-19 Pandemic we are using indoor space to provide meals, socks and other items to our guests who then head back outside for fellowship and spiritual companionship.  Join us out front at All Saints Episcopal Church! We hope to get back to our ‘fully indoor model’ of the Cafe once we are past the Covid crisis.

How can I help?

Monetary donations to cover our ‘material overhead’ which is the cost of food/liquids/paper supplies and cotton socks.  Material donations for our guests include:  new cotton socks, new men’s briefs (all sizes), new women’s underwear (all sizes), gently used adult size seasonal coats & boots (please note that we are no longer accepting any other clothing).  Our guests also need travel size toiletry items: shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, body lotion, comb, hair brush brush, dental floss, non-alcohol mouthwash/toothpaste, bandaids and Qtips.
